Remember
Me™?
Remember Me™
is a daycare
vehicle safety alarm system that reminds staff to check the entire
vehicle for passengers when the vehicle ignition is turned off. If the
vehicle is not fully checked and the system reset, the horn will honk in
a S.O.S. pattern, the hazard lights will flash and an interior strobe
light will flash to get the attention of the daycare staff and people
passing by.
How does
Remember
Me™
work?
At the end of a
trip, when the vehicle is turned off, a light on the dashboard begins to
blink and a gentle beeping sound starts. The light flashes and the beep
sounds for 5 minutes reminding staff to inspect the entire vehicle.
When everyone is out of the vehicle and the staff member makes their
final walk through, the staff member simply presses two sets of reset
buttons located in the rear of the vehicle. The two sets of buttons
need to be pressed at the same time. This is very important.
The buttons are positioned so that an ADULT has to go to the very back
of the vehicle. Both sets of buttons cannot be reached from the rear
door or window. Also, since both sets of buttons have to be pressed at
the same time, a child cannot be instructed to press the button to
deactivate the system.

What is Safer
Loading Zone?
While the vehicle is running, anytime a door is opened, the vehicle
hazard lights are activated. This lets other drivers on the road know
that the Daycare vehicle is stopped and that children may be getting on
or off. This creates a safer loading and unloading environment for
staff, parents and children. When the last door is closed and the
vehicle begins to move, the hazard lights flash faster for 10 seconds
making the vehicle even more visible as it enters into traffic. This
can make getting back into traffic safer by alerting other drivers on
the road that the Daycare vehicle is merging.
